A great breakfast at Brookfield House and then off for 7 miles to Orton. We walked for awhile with a crowd of 10 or so people before they took a break and we kept going. The scenery was bare rolling hills. We got lost for awhile right at the end when we decided to follow a footpath through some pastures. The path was not marked and we ended up blindly charging around five pastures before we found a trail into Orton.
Once in Orton we went to the King George and sat in the beer garden for lunch. We had to move inside because it was so cold. Today never warmed up and was very overcast.
We are now at the Barn House B&B resting up. Earl is limping on a bad knee but every one is in pretty good health.

Sheep food left out in the fields. Not very tasty. |
Spectacular scenery. I guess the stone circle is pre-historic.
